One annoying part of air travel is the temperature inside the cabin or the plane. Commercial airliners with a reputation of having cold cabins have passengers bringing blankets and comforters with them. Flight attendants usually call them “flying refrigerators”. Some commercial airliners are very hot that they resemble tropical areas and everyone is sweating. Flight attendants call them “flying ovens”. While flight attendants are often annoyed of their airlines standard cabin temperature, the passengers are the ones who are most affected and irritated. While 18C is the so-called international standard, most commercial airliners do not follow this and many leave the decision regarding the cabin temperature based on the pilot’s discretion. These flying ovens and flying refrigerators are very discomforting and passengers have to bring their extra clothes to deal with these planes.
